North Reading Natives Earn Honors At Respective Universities

A number of college students from North Reading earned honors at their respective colleges and universities.

Local students were named to the Dean’s List at several institutions of higher education in the region, including Becker College, in Worcester, the University of New Hampshire, in Durham, New Hampshire, and Merrimack College, in Andover.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List at Merrimack College, a student must achieve a 3.25 grade point average (GPA) out of a 4.0 grading system.

The following students earned Dean’s List honors at the University of New Hampshire:

  • Mikayla Fritsch of North Reading has earned Honors
  • Kristyn Gallant earned Highest Honors
  • Leo Sutera earned Honors
  • Laura VanBeaver earned High Honors
  • Timothy Russell earned Honors

Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester GPA of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 GPA are awarded high honors and students whose GPA is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.

The North Reading students to be named to the Dean’s List at Becker College for the 2015 Spring Semester include Andrew Kerrigan and Katelyn MacLean.

To be named to the Dean’s List at Becker College, a student’s grade point average for the semester must be 3.50 or higher with no grade below a B- and no incomplete (I) or withdrawal/failing (WF) grades.
