North Reading Schools Closed Thursday
First major storm of 2018 could bring foot or more of snow.
With a major winter storm headed our way, the North Reading public school system will be closed Thursday. Superintendent Jon Bernard made the announcement Wednesday afternoon.
"Given the weather forecast for challenging weather conditions throughout the day tomorrow, all public schools in North Reading will be closed on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
All after school and evening activities are cancelled as well.

Snow is expected to start just after midnight and continue throughout the day with 10-15 inches anticipated.
