A release from Reading's Legislative Delegation:

North Reading seniors are invited to attend the annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Hillview Country Club in North Reading on Sunday, November 18 from 1:30-5 p.m. Doors will open at 12:45 p.m. and dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m.

The North Reading Thanksgiving Dinner has been an annual tradition since it was started by the town’s former Director of Elder Services, the late Edith O’Leary, over 30 years ago. Hosted by Representative and Mrs. Bradley H. Jones, Jr. and Senator Bruce Tarr, the event features a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings, as well as musical entertainment from Sergeant Dan Clark, the famous “singing trooper.”

“My wife Linda, Senator Tarr and I are pleased to be able to carry on this very special holiday tradition for North Reading’s seniors,” said Representative Jones. “This event would not be possible without the generosity of the many local businesses and individuals who have partnered with us over the years to help make this annual dinner such a great success.”

“The Thanksgiving dinner is a wonderful opportunity to get together with the seniors who make North Reading such a strong and close community, and to remember just how important we all are to each other. I’m honored to be able to co-host this dinner once again with Minority Leader Jones and his wife Linda,” said Senator Tarr.
