Greater New Bedford ends Hornets' season with tough loss in Taunton.
The North Reading softball team's state championship pursuit ended Tuesday night in Taunton. The Hornets lost to Greater New Bedford, 6-4, in the Division 2 EMass title game. The Hornets finished the season 23-1. Greater New Bedford advances to the state title game Saturday in Worcester.
