North Reading Teen Headed to Miss Boston/Cambridge Pageant

North Reading High School student Sabrina Ponte will compete in the Miss Boston/Cambridge pageant on Feb. 16 at the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston.

Ponte, whose platform is Educating Girls in Third World Countries, will perform an opera vocal during the talent portion of the competition.

The contest is a preliminary to the Miss Massachusetts and Miss America pageants. The winner of Miss Boston 2014 and Miss Cambridge 2014 will each received a $1,500 academic scholarship, and a scholarship and prize package worth more than $10,000.
