NORTH READING, MA — North Reading's Francine Coughlin was named a 2020 Commonwealth Heroine. Coughlin served as the President of the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce in 2019. She was recommended by State Rep. Bradley Jones.

The annual Commonwealth Heroines celebration recognizes women from across the state who "perform unheralded acts daily that make our homes, neighborhoods, cities and towns better places to live." State legislators are responsible for recommending women within their districts for the honor.

Coughlin is the Founder and President of Rock n’ Rescue, a non- profit dog rescue organization, and also serves as Vice Chairperson of the North Reading Historical Commission.
