Reading Cooperative Bank Makes Charitable Donation to Reading Developmental Hockey League
Reading, MA – Reading Cooperative Bank is proud to announce its recent donation to the Reading Developmental Hockey League. Its sponsorship will allow a local Reading team to buy new game jerseys. The Developmental Hockey Leagues gives children between the ages of 6 and 8 the opportunity to learn about the game of hockey, build teamwork skills, stay active and represent our community on and off the ice.
“Reading Developmental Hockey League is truly a great program. Over the past year it has been amazing to see how many kids have come out and had their lives changed through the game of hockey. Not only are children able to experience something new, but they are given the chance to be with other kids their age. In this League, the children play at a level that is better suited for them thanks to the new USA hockey model called the ADM (American Developmental Model); they play on ice that is the correct size for their age and are given the opportunity to advance their skills and build their dreams,” says Gino Molettieri, Head of Reading Developmental Hockey League.
The Reading Developmental Hockey League is a great way for kids to get out and be active in the community. More than 100 boys and girls came out to join this year’s fast-growing program. In December, one of the Reading teams played in the Bruins’ 3 Minutes of Fame game between periods at a Bruins vs. Red Wings game. These are experiences that will stay with children and families forever. Reading Cooperative Bank is happy to support programs like the Reading Developmental Hockey League, getting kids active, building teamwork and giving children opportunities that will last a lifetime.
