Plymouth Makes List of Massachusetts Hottest Towns

Get ready for some new neighbors; more people bought new homes in Plymouth last year than most other Massachusetts towns.

If you welcomed a few new neighbors last year, you’re likely not the only one in Plymouth. The town has made a real-estate list of the 25 hottest towns in Massachusetts.

McGeough and Lamacchia, a real-estate firm serving Massachusetts and New Hampshire, made their list of Massachusetts’s hottest towns based on the number of homes sold.

At least 200 homes had to be sold in 2014 for a town to be eligible and the real-estate firm considered 351 towns for the list.

“This list also provides a look into the future of home prices in these areas,” said the report. “Home prices tend to rise after sales rise. Since we actively sell homes in most of these towns, we enjoy preparing this list on an annual basis to better educate our clients.”
