Plymouth In Top 50 Places To Buy A Home In Massachusetts: Survey

Plymouth was recently ranked one of the best places to buy a home in Massachusetts based on home value, income and population.

PLYMOUTH, MA – Plymouth this month was ranked among the top 50 places in Massachusetts to purchase a home. LendEDU, a student loan and personal finance marketplace, scored Plymouth No. 43 in its survey, "The Best 100 Places to Buy a Home in Massachusetts." Jefferson in Worcester County was ranked No. 1.

The survey was based on factors including home value, income and population.

"Overall, Massachusetts is a great choice for any type of homebuyer," LendEDU wrote. "Massachusetts is consistently ranked in the top five of states in terms of per capita personal income. It also has a general minimum wage of $11 that is higher than most. Not to mention, the state has the sixth-largest number of millionaires per capita in the U.S.

"Further, 12 Fortune 500 companies call Massachusetts their home. Among these are Liberty Mutual, Staples Inc., Biogen, and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. Finally, if you are looking to settle down on the beach, Massachusetts is home to beautiful communities like Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard."
