Bristol County Sobriety Checkpoint This Weekend
State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on a public way somewhere in Bristol County Friday night into Saturday.
QUINCY, MA — State Police have issued a public notice of a sobriety checkpoint on a public way in Bristol County this weekend. The checkpoint will occur Friday night into Saturday.
State Police say the purpose of the checkpoint is to further educate drivers and strengthen the public's awareness to the need of detecting and removing those drivers who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways. State Police said the checkpoint will be operated during varied hours, the selection of vehicles will not be arbitrary, safety will be assured and any inconveniences to motorists will be minimized.
The checkpoint will be run through a grant from the Highway Safety Division of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.
