Fat Cat Restaurant In Quincy Closing Temporarily
The Fat Cat's management said problems with the current location kept it from remaining open before moving to Hancock Street.
QUINCY, MA — A popular Quincy spot for beer, sandwiches, wings, and other comfort foods closed its doors temporarily until it can open at a new location nearby. The Fat Cat said in a Facebook post its moving from 24 Chestnut St. to 1495 Hancock St., which is the former location of the Iron Furnace.
The restaurant's management said problems with the current location kept the Fat Cat from remaining open before the move.
"Dear friends and family, and we consider all of you family, it is with bittersweet emotions that we have to inform you that tonight will be our last night in operation at 24 Chestnut Street," the restaurant said on Facebook Wednesday. "Due to a number of growing building concerns (i.e. no draft beer system, no air conditioning, etc.), we will be starting our transition to our new larger, shinier home at 1495 Hancock Street."
