Lane Closures Beginning On Quincy Shore Drive, Sea Street

Expect added traffic on Quincy Shore Drive and Sea Street for the rest of the summer, fall and potentially winter.

QUINCY, MA — Commuters may see traffic build up on Quincy Shore Drive and Sea Street, as the Masschusetts Department of Transportation announced daytime lane closures for construction work. Beginning Monday, Aug. 19, lanes will close between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., to allow crews to install new curbs, sidewalks, traffic signals and conduit.

Construction will last through the summer and fall months, as well as the winter, weather permitting. Signs, traffic control devices and law enforcement details will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. Drivers who are traveling through the impacted areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
