Law Firm Donates 200 Youth Bike Helmets To Quincy Police
Boston law firm Breakstone, White & Gluck donated 200 bike helmets to Quincy police for a third straight year.

QUINCY, MA — For a third year in a row, a Boston law firm is helping Quincy police keep kids safe while biking. Breakstone White & Gluck donated 200 youth bike helmets to the police department as part of the firm's Project Kid Safe campaign.
"The donation allows officers to give free helmets to children who need one during community safety programming and events, such as the DARE camp for fifth graders and Coffee with a Cop," Quincy police said in a statement."
Breakstone, White & Gluck founded the campaign in 2013, and so farm have donated more than 25,000 helmets across Boston area communities. Quincy police said that during 2019, the law firm plans to donate more than 4,000 helmets to more than 35 community organizations across Massachusetts.

Bicycle helmets are an important tool for cyclists, reducing the chance of head injury by 50 percent, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
"Helmets are essential because accidents can happen at any time, even on quick trips," Quincy police said.

Breakstone, White & Gluck and the Quincy Police Department urge cyclists of all ages to wear helmets to protect against concussions and head injuries. State law requires children 16 and under are to wear helmets when they ride their bikes.
