Military Man Saves Woman From Flooded Quincy Street
The driver needed to escape her car through the window.

QUINCY, MA — A member of the U.S. Army was in the right place at the right time as rain flooded the streets of Quincy.
Specialist Mathew Hernon, who is with the 1058 transportation company out of Hingham, saved a woman who drove down a flooded Standish Avenue Tuesday. With water levels near the license plate of the car, the woman had to crawl out of her window to leave her vehicle. Hernon assisted her and carried her out to safety.
