QUINCY, MA — Temporary overnight lane closures and short-term rolling roadblocks are expected on both I-93 northbound and southbound lanes Saturday night into Sunday morning as part of the Robertson Street Bridge Project in Quincy. Work is expected from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Robertson Street will be closed to all traffic during this time with detours in place.
Those traveling in the area should reduce speed and use caution. For more information, travelers are encouraged to Dial 511 for real-time conditions or go to www.mass511.com.
The Department of Transportation said these temporary closures are necessary to allow crews and contractors to perform bridge beam installation. The Robertson Bridge project includes removing and replacing the existing bridge, installing a bike lane, improving sidewalks and wheelchair ramps and resurfacing the roadway.
