Quincy High Schools Make Boston Magazines Top 100

QUINCY, MA — Both of Quincy's public high schools made a recent Boston Magazine list of the top 149 greater Boston high schools. Using data from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Boston Magazine's team compiled the best public schools that are within, or partially within, I-495.

North Quincy High School finished 69th out of the 149 schools that were ranked, while Quincy High finished 99th. The rankings were determined by factors such as SAT scores, student-teacher ratios, graduation rates, according to the magazine.

Who did the best according to Boston Magazine? Dover-Sherborn Regional high school came in at number one. Here's how Quincy's neighboring communities ranked:

• Braintree High School came in at No. 56
• Weymouth High School came in at No. 106
• Hingham High School came in at No. 25
• Milton High School came in at No. 42
