Quincy Police Seize More Than 60 Pounds Of Pot, Guns In Drug Bust
Quincy police said an investigation into bulk marijuana sales in the city result in a seizure of cocaine, marijuana, Oxycodone and guns.

QUINCY, MA — A Quincy police investigation into bulk marijuana sales in the city led to an arrest and seizure of more than 60 pounds of the drug, as well as cocaine, Oxycodone and two guns, on Sunday. Police charged Brian Fidler, 22, with drug trafficking and firearm offenses.
Police said a warrant search of Fidler's Federal Street home uncovered more than 30 pounds of marijuana, about 29 grams of cocaine, 29 oxycodone pills, two loaded 9-mm guns, ammunition, more than $8,800 in cash, a money counter digital scale and other items indicative of drug sales. Police said they also found 30, one-pound bags of marijuana in Fidler's Jeep at the time of his arrest as well as five pills identified at Oxycodone at his booking.
Fidler was charged with trafficking cocaine over 18 grams, possession of Oxycodone with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a firearm without an Federal identification card, wo counts of improper storage of a firearm, two counts of illegal possession of ammunition, two counts of possession of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a large capacity feeding device.

Police said they saw Fidler driving with a suspended license abou 5:30 p.m. on Sunday and pulled him over when he got into a Jeep driven by Shane Smith, 27, of Charlestown in front of his Federal Street residence. After the initial search of the Jeep, Fidler was charged with possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws, operating after suspension and possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone. Smith was charged with possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Police said they then applied for the search warrant for the residence and discovered the additional drugs, guns and ammunition upon executing it.
