Quincy Power Outage Update: Nearly All Homes Have Power

Update: As of late Tuesday night, nine homes in Quincy do not have power, according to the National Grid outage map.

QUINCY, MA — A good portion of the town was without power during the latest storm makes its way across the area.

As of 11:30 a.m., about 4.4 percent of Quincy, or 2,001 homes, do not have power. The number was down to 1,496 by 11:15 a.m. By 12:45 p.m., 333 homes were in the dark.

Quincy was one of the area South Shore towns impacted by the storm. About 27 percent of Abington was in the dark, as was 56 percent of Cohasset and 70 percent of Norwell.

About 8 percent of Weymouth homes did not have power.
