Quincy Resident Named HR Director Of Community Servings

Arelis Sosa is the nonprofit's first full-time HR director.

QUINCY, MA — A Quincy resident and first generation Dominican-American has been named the Director of Human Resources at Community Servings, a nonprofit provider of medically tailored meals and nutrition services.

Arelis Sosa has become the nonprofit's first full-time HR director and has over ten years of experience in human resources and workforce development, said Community Servings in a news release. She holds a bachelor's degree from Southern New Hampshire University and previously served as director of vocational services at the nonprofit human services agency TILL, Inc.

“Arelis is a caring and passionate professional who brings tremendous human resources skills and years of experience to our organization,” said David B. Waters, CEO of Community Servings, in a statement. “As our first full-time HR director, she will be a tremendous asset as our workforce expands and our mission broadens.”

In her new position at Community Servings, Sosa will oversee recruitment, employee programs, training and development, and compliance with regulations and best practices. She will will also co-lead several of the organization's teams.

Since its founding in 1990, Community Servings has provided sustenance to chronically and critically ill individuals and their families. The organization currently prepares and delivers over 800,000 meals to 3,200 clients annually.
