Quincy Shooting Injures Teen
An 18-year-old was hospitalized after getting shot in the head in a Quincy shooting on Saturday.
QUINCY, MA—An 18-year-old victim was hospitalized after being shot in the head in a Quincy shooting on Saturday at approximately 10:30 p.m at a residence on Common Street.
According to the Quincy Police Department, the victim was alert and conscious when officers arrived at the scene and immediately treated by Brewster Ambulance paramedics. The teen was taken to South Shore Hospital and later transported to Boston Medical Center for surgery.
"Based on a preliminary investigation, it appears that this incident was not random," said a statement released by the Quincy Police Department. "Witnesses reported a light colored or white sedan in the area of the shooting when it occurred. The vehicle fled towards Copeland Street."

The shooting remains under investigation by detectives assigned to the Quincy Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations. As of Monday morning, no arrests have been made, no charges have been filed, and the victim has not been identified.
