Quincy Student Tests Positive For Coronavirus
The child was a student at Brooks Meadow Middle School and was attending in-person classes at Quincy High School all of last week.
QUINCY, MA — A Quincy student has tested positive for the coronavirus after a full week of in-person classes, school officials said.
The child was a student at Brooks Meadow Middle School and was attending in-person classes at Quincy High School all of last week. Principal Daniel Gilbert said the parents reached out to Assistant Superintendent Erin Perkins on Sunday and made the district aware of the positive test.
Gilbert said all staff members who worked with the student and the families of students in this child's class were contacted regarding the positive test. Quincy Health Commissioner Ruth Jones was also made aware and followed up with all close contacts.

Gilbert also said the school underwent deep cleaning on Sunday.
