These incidents have incited fear into the members of the Asian-American community. Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center's Ben Hires has expressed his and others' concern from these events, given that both victims are Asian. The Quincy Asian Resources Inc. also voiced their concerns and hope any anti-Asian motivation behind future crimes is monitored.

The Quincy Police Department is not currently classifying these cases as hate crimes, as they believe racial motivation wasn't the reason for these incidents. As more work is done in this situation, Quincy Police is looking for anyone with any information regarding the robberies to share it with them.
