Burlington's Rainforest Cafe Closes

BURLINGTON, MA - The much-loved, family-friendly Rainforest Cafe inside the Burlington Mall is no more.

The restaurant, which catered to children with its rain forest theme closed its doors over the weekend.
Customers took to social media announcing their shock at the closure, as well as those who had upcoming birthday parties planned at that location who received phone calls this morning telling them the Burlington location has closed.

A representative from Simon, the mall's parent company, came before the Burlington Planning Board last week looking to make some changes to the space to accommodate a furniture store in that location, the Burlington Union reported.
With the closure, there are no other Rainforest Cafes in Massachusetts. The chain is owned owned by Houston, Texas-based Landry Inc.
