Drug Arrest; Lock Out: Reading Police

Arrest - Edward Portelle Jr., 42, of Pearl Street in Reading was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a Class B substance and illegal possession of a Class E substance.

At 12:03 a.m., police assisted with a man who did not have money for a cab fare on Pondview Lane.

At 4:29 a.m., there was a report of a suspicious person in a closed store on Main Street.

At 9:19 a.m., there was a two car motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

At 11:24 a.m., there was a man locked out on his balcony on Green Street.

At 12:04 p.m., there was a report of a raccoon asleep by front stairs on Washington Street.

At 1:02 p.m., there was a brush fire behind a residence on Van Norden Road.

At 6:59 p.m., there was a dead squirrel on Washington Street.
