Everett Male Arrested for Assault and Battery, Other Charges

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the Reading Police Department from Monday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

On Monday, Roger C. Woodberry, 45, of 56 Locust St. was arrested on charges of assault and battery on an elderly person.

At 1:28 a.m. Wednesday, Jonathan Liam Libby, 26, of 761 Broadway in Everett was arrested on Summit Drive on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, intimidation of a witness and burglary, armed assault.

At 7:58 p.m., as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, Michael A. Maksou, 40, of Long Island Shelter, Quincy was arrested on a warrant.

Monday, August 5

  • At 2:22 p.m., a Prescott Street resident reported that a suspicious person knocked on his door and asked to see his house.

Tueday, August 6

  • At 11:38 a.m., a caller reported a fraudulent charge on her credit card.
  • At 12:53 p.m., a Francis Drive resident reported that her car was vandalized.
  • At 5:56 p.m., a caller reported finding needles on the sidewalk of School Street. Police disposed of the needles.
  • At 9:09 p.m., a Brook Street resident reported a loud house party in the area.

Wednesday, August 7

  • At 1 p.m., a caller reported that her car was hit while parked on Walkers Brook Drive.   
  • At 10:35 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Haverhill Street. No injuries were reported.

Thursday, August 8

  • At 7:24 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Lowell Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 12:05 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
