Since it is this venerable Reading institution’s 62nd year, there is much tradition to celebrate. Everyone loves the fried dough and fresh fudge, the White Elephant and the “vintage” jewelry, the Midway games and the familiar faces, but do you know what is NEW about this year’s Faire?
1) Meet a princess. A certain beauty princess will be visiting from France. She would love to read her story to you (she loves to read) and have your photos taken together in a scene from her castle home. Come meet her at the Faire on Friday at 5:30pm.
2) Maker’s Movement. There will be a Makers’ Table which serves two purposes: a) Showcase amazing crafts made by friends of the First Congregational Church to support community missions. b) Share ways we can all use our creativity to support other caring organizations. Information on several ways to help will be available. Come find out more!

3) Earlier Start. Earlier start time for Saturday morning: 9:00am. Faire hours are Friday, September 28th, 5-8pm, and Saturday, September 29th, 9am-2pm. Admission is always free!
4) Harrow’s pies. Menu for both Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch will include Reading’s own Harrow’s Chicken Pie. But try to save room for lobster rolls, mac and cheese, pizza, pulled pork sandwiches, chili and other local favorites.

5) Community support. Sharing in the profits from this year’s Faire will be Mission of Deeds, the Reading Food Pantry, and Reading Embraces Diversity, so you will be doing good while having fun!
Join the fun at the Olde Redding Faire September 28th (5-8 pm) and 29th (9 am – 2 pm) at the First Congregational Church which is at the corner of Woburn and Sanborn Streets in Reading. And check out all the Faire news at www.facebook.com/OldeReddingFaire
