Photo Series Highlights Reading Businesses During Pandemic

The Chamber of Commerce teamed up with a local photography studio to showcase business owners and encourage residents to shop local.

READING, MA — The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce partnered with Katherine Henry Boudoir Photography to showcase local business owners. The afternoon of socially distant photography sessions was one way the Chamber worked to support its downtown and small business owners.

Also featured downtown is the work of local hand-lettering artist Antea Amoroso, who created inspiring messages on the windows of businesses via her #letteringforlove project. Residents are asked to shop local when they need a gift, new outfit, meal or service such as banking or tax preparation.

"As a local business, I wanted to highlight our downtown business owners to help support them while so many are closed or have limited capacity due to Covid-19," Boudoir said. "Reading is an incredible town with a wonderfully diverse group of businesses. It was a pleasure to highlight these entrepreneurs, and I hope everyone remembers to support local businesses to help them remain open, now more than ever."
