Police: Arrest Made Following Motor Vehicle Stop in Reading

In the latest police log from Wednesday, July 8, Reading Police reported several complaints of suspicious vehicles and two dogs were locked in separate cars in town.

At 12:55 a.m., police reported an open storage trailer was found at 246 Ash St.

At 7:08 a.m., police reported a deceased raccoon at 1243 Main St.
At 7:53 a.m., police conducted a welfare of resident check after receiving a report of a man stumbling in and out of the street at 239 Washington St.

1:07 p.m., Reading Police reported a motor vehicle was parked with a dog left inside at 279 Salem St.

At 2:02 p.m., police reported a dog was left inside a parked motor vehicle at 296 Salem St. and Mandarin.
At 5:54 p.m., one person was arrested in the area of Summer Avenue and King Street following a motor vehicle stop, police said.
At 8:10 p.m., Reading Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. Police said a green GMC van was reported to be traveling slowly in the area of Belmont Street and Chequesette Road.
At 8:22 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious motor vehicle in the area of Rustic Lane and Beaver Road.
