Reading Announces Third Annual Walk Reading Weekend
The event will be held the weekend of June 4 - 5.
On the weekend of June 4 – 5, the town of Reading will host the third annual Walk Reading Weekend. Walkable Reading, the Trails Committee, and the Reading Open Land Trust sponsor the event.
The weekend event encourages the citizens of Reading to put on a red article of clothing and then explore the town by either bike or foot. Once finished, participants are encouraged to post their experience on Facebook. There are five different events during the weekend, including a geocaching event.
On Saturday, June 4 at 9:00 a.m., participants will walk the Sledge Woods ROLT property trail. The meeting place for this event is the end of Pasture Rd.

On Saturday, June 4 at 10:00 a.m., participants will explore the Evergreen Trail (btw. Kylie Dr. and Charles St.). The meeting place is Kylie Dr.
On Saturday, June 4, the Historic Houses Walking Tour will be held at 1:00 p.m. The meeting place for this event will be Parker Tavern at 103 Washington St. The rain date for this event is the following day, June 5 at 1:00 p.m.

On Sunday, June 5 at 8:00 a.m., participants will explore the birds of the Ipswich River. The meeting place for this event is Wood End School on Sunset Rock Lane.
On Sunday, June 5 at 1:00 p.m., participants will explore the Bare Meadow Conservation Area. The meeting place for this event is Mattera Cabin at 1481 Main St.
