Reading Library Hosts Summer Party Friday

Food truck, music highlight party to kick-off summer reading program.

You've probably never thought of our library as a place for great food and lively music, but maybe you should.

The Reading Public Library will kick off its Libraries Rock-themed summer reading program with a rollicking music and food truck fest in the parking lot, Fri., June 22 from 6-8:30 p.m. This all ages party will offer bands performing an eclectic array of music from Brazilian beats, to gospel, jazz and more. The groups include George W. Russell, Jr. & Co., and Sulinha's trio with Eduardo Mercuri and Julio Santos.

Food trucks will sell fare inspired from Southeast Asia to Italy. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and everyone you know.
