Reading's Maureen Wall Passes Away
Longtime town resident was graduate of RMHS, class of '77.

An obituary from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home:
Maureen E. Wall of Reading passed away peacefully on April 28th after a courageous, yearlong battle with cancer. She was 60 years old.
Maureen was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School (Class of 1977) and Stonehill College (Class of 1981) where she earned a degree in Marketing. She went on to earn advanced degrees in Hospitality Management and Business Management. Maureen worked in both Hotel and Insurance Claim management. Her work introduced her to a wide family of friends and allowed her to travel extensively. She was an avid traveler and history buff with a particular fondness for the United Kingdom. Maureen was a proud dual citizen of Ireland.

Maureen leaves behind a brother, James E. Wall, Jr of Wakefield as well as a close group of friends who cherished her friendship and were privileged to care for her during her illness. She was a doting “Auntie Moe” to the children of those friends. Maureen was predeceased by her parents Eleanor (Connelly) Wall and James E. Wall and her devoted canine companion, Lilly. She also leaves her cherished Goldendoodle, Oonaugh.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) from 4-6 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 6 at St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial at Charles Lawn Cemetery in Reading.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Maureen’s name to the Stonehill College Bridge Fund C/O Stonehill College Office of Development, 320 Washington St., Easton, MA 02357-0242.
