How Reading Is Observing Memorial Day 2020
In lieu of its typical Memorial Day ceremony, Reading is inviting residents to decorate their front doors in a patriotic manner.
READING, MA — Residents are invited to participate in Reading's Patriotic Door Decorating Campaign for Memorial Day in lieu of the town's traditional observance. The campaign began Monday, May 11 and runs through Memorial Day weekend.
To participate, decorate your door in a patriotic fashion and share a picture to the @Readinggov Facebook Page (Town of Reading, MA).
"Reading has a strong history of honoring all those that served to protect the freedoms we enjoy today," the town said in a statement. "Please participate to show our collective respect for and to honor those service members who have gone before us."
