Resident Runs to Fight Cancer

Reading resident Sarah Lanzo ran the Falmouth Road Race to raise money to fight cancer. Her friend Andrew recently died of cancer, and she ran in his memory. 

Lanzo raised money to support the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. The foundation has made it their mission to provide help and hope for cancer patients and their families.

"I have seen cancer affect far too many people I love and care about. Most recently, in April, my husband and I lost a dear friend to cancer. He fought a long battle and maintained a positive and inspiring attitude throughout. My hope is that in supporting the JAF cause I can be a part of helping other families who are facing their own battles with cancer in any way possible," Lanzo said.
