Businesses are asked to fill out survey to determine interest electric vehicle charging station.
A release from the Reading Municipal Light Department:
READING, Ma – Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) has launched a survey to gauge interest from local businesses regarding the installation of an electric vehicle charging station at their facility. The survey is available at www.rmld.com through May 15.
The transportation industry is shifting toward electrification. Plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) decrease greenhouse gas emissions and offer significant cost saving opportunities for PEV owners. A key element in the continued growth of PEVs is charging infrastructure. RMLD is exploring grant opportunities and other potential programs, and information from local businesses that may be interested in installing a charging station will assist with future efforts. Providing chargers for visitors and patrons is a great way to attract business while making a commitment to a healthier environment.
