Tickets To Quannapowitt Players 2017-18 Season Available

Five shows at Reading theatre, starting Sept. 29 with Moon over Buffalo

The Quannapowitt Players begin another season at the little school house on Hopkins Street in Reading next month.

Five shows highlight the 2017-18 season, leading off with "Moon over Buffalo" on Sept. 29. The comedy is set in 1953 Buffalo and follows two seasoned performers doing repertoire in upstate New York. There will be seven performances finishing on Oct. 14.

Following "Moon over Buffalo," Quannapowitt's annual new plays festival Suburban Holidays VI starts Nov. 24 with six shows and ends Dec. 2. This is the sixth year of the Suburban Holidays which include all new plays, all holiday themed, and all written by aspiring playwrights.

2018 begins with seven performances of "Kimberly Aikimbo," a dark comedy of family dysfunction and secrets, starting Jan. 26. Then it's six performances of the Tony-Award winning play "39 Steps" starting March 23. The final play of the season is the romantic comedy "Prelude To A Kiss," and it opens May 18 for six shows.

Tickets are $20. Season subscribers get four shows for $70 if purchased by Sept. 15, including a 50% discount on tickets for Suburban Holidays VI. More information at qptheatre.com.
