All are invited to attend a family friendly, multi generational worship service on Sunday, October 7th at 10 a.m. in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading located at 239 Woburn Street, Reading, MA.
The service is being planned by UUCR’s new Ministerial Intern, Jaimie Dingus, in conjunction with the Director of Lifespan Religious Education, Sally Liebermann. The service revolves around the church’s theme for October which is Sanctuary, and will involve acknowledging those who lived on this land before us, and re-committing to building the world we want to live in. It will be interactive and hands on and children will be in the sanctuary with their families for the entire service. As always, child care is available for children under 4 next door in Sawyer House during the service.
Jaimie started her internship at UUCR on September 1st and is in her final year of a Master’s of Divinity program at Harvard Divinity School. She grew up in Yorktown, Virginia attending the UU Fellowship of the Peninsula in Newport News, Virginia and earned her BA in Religious Studies from Boston University.

Jaimie will be the Ministerial Intern at UUCR for 2 years. During that time she hopes to really learn what is involved in being the Minister for a congregation. She is excited to work with the youth group, to be involved with planning and participating in the worship services each Sunday, and to work with members of the congregation on social justice issues. Her vision for her future may include pastoral ministry in a UU congregation, serving as prison chaplain, or both.
Jamie is touched by how seriously this congregation takes being a teaching congregation. She thinks we are going to learn a lot from each other. For more information about the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading, please go to www.uureading.org.
