Adam Sandler's Salem Halloween Film Hits Netflix In October

"Hubie Halloween" was filmed in several North Shore locations last summer.

SALEM, MA — Adam Sandler's Halloween hilarity in and around Salem is coming to Netflix in time for the holiday.

Netflix Films announced that "Hubie Halloween" — the film featuring familiar Sandler movie and former Saturday Night Live pals Kevin James, Julie Bowen, Maya Rudolph, Tim Meadows, Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi, Kenan Thompson — will debut on the streaming network on Oct. 7.

The movie, which was filmed on location at several North Shore spots last summer, is the story of Sandler as a Halloween fan turned holiday hero in Salem.

The movie is set in Salem, where several scenes were filmed. Other Massachusetts shooting locations included Danvers, Marblehead and the Mendon Drive-In movie theater.

The production crew filmed some final scenes in Los Angeles in July after production was halted due to the onset of the coronavirus health crisis in March.
