Anthony "Nino" Rizzotti, 92, of Salem
Upon graduation from Salem High School in 1941, Anthony joined the U.S. Navy and fought in World War II.

Salem, MA – Anthony “Nino” Rizzotti, age 92, of Salem passed away on Tuesday July 13. The son of the late Stephen and Jenny (Femino) Rizzotti, he was born and raised in Salem and graduated from Salem High School in 1941. Upon graduation he joined the United States Navy and fought in World War II. He later worked for the Salem Police Department as their custodian for over 35 years before his retirement. Anthony was an avid golfer, gardener and accomplished dancer. He was a longtime member of the Christopher Columbus Society in Salem and a longtime member of Saint Mary’s Italian Catholic Church until its closing.
Anthony is survived by: his daughter Jeannine Cloutier of Salem; his daughter Alyse Mento and her husband John of Salem; his daughter Nina Rizzotti of Salem as well as 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, his sister-in-law Jane (Shea) Rizzotti, a large extended family and his longtime companion Fay Dannells of Beverly. He is predeceased by his wife Lillian (Levesque) Rizzotti with whom he shared 50 years of loving marriage and his brother Stephen Rizzotti.

Visiting hours for Anthony will be held on Sunday July 17, 2016 from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Murphy Funeral Home located at 85 Federal St. (corner of North St.) in Salem.
A funeral will be held from Murphy Funeral Home on Monday July 18 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anne’s Church 290 Jefferson Ave. in Salem. Internment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery 226 North St. in Salem.
