Bed Bug In A Sandwich: Salem Police Log

Not enough french toast sticks, drunken arguing, and more from the Salem Police log.

  • Police responded to a report of a drunken dispute on St. Peters Street last Wednesday around 7 p.m.
  • Officers went to a Loring Avenue business on a report of four youths harassing customers last Wednesday around 9 p.m.
  • Preston Phillip Ferraro, 31, of Salem, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property last Thursday.
  • Tina Marie Whitten, 34, of Salem, was arrested on charges of failing to stop or yield, and driving with a suspended license on Friday.
  • Officers took a report of a possible bed bug in a breakfast sandwich. Someone went to the police station last Friday evening to report that earlier in June, they bought a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that possibly had a bed bug in it and a side of french toast sticks, but only got 2 and a half in the bag.
  • Brian Silva Loureiro, 30, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, carrying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct on Sunday after a report of a past assault on Essex Street.
  • Logan John Thompson, 21, of Boxford, was arrested on charges of malicious destruction of property on Sunday.
