Bird Dancing: Salem Police Log
A whole lot of arrests this week from the Salem Police log.

- Ashley Berns, 22, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of shoplifting last Thursday around 11 a.m. after police were called to Traders Way.
- Michael David Capodilupo, 27, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of possession to distribute a class A drug, failing to drive within the marked lanes, violating a municipal bylaw, and a warrant, and Chantel Rose Morin, 29, of Salem, was arrested on charges of possession to distribute a class A drug last Friday around 1:30 a.m. after a traffic stop on North Street.
- Cassandra Dawn Defreitas, 32, of Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and a warrant last Thursday.
- Jose A. Torres-Figueroa, 42, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of failing to drive within the marked lanes, and driving with a suspended license last Thursday around 12:30 a.m. on Loring Avenue.
- Khonn Hem, 30, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of possession of a class B drug, and violating a municipal bylaw last Sunday around 2 a.m. after police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Harbor Street.
- Rose Mary Lopez, 41, of Salem, was arrested on charges of carrying a dangerous weapon, failing to driving within the marked lanes, driving with a suspended license, driving with suspended registration, drugged driving, and possession of a class E drug last Saturday.
- Ashley L. Madore, 31, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of possession of a class C drug last Saturday around 11 p.m. after police responded to a report of suspicious activity in the area of Washington Street.
- Joseph Donovan Provenzano, 33, of North Reading, was arrested on charges of not having a license in possession, no inspection sticker, and possession of a class A drug last Friday around 5:30 p.m. after a traffic stop on Congress Street.
- Police responded to a report of a bird stuck in a Federal Street home on Sunday around 10:30 a.m. An officer found the bird "dancing on top of a ledge," and was able to grab the bird and set it free.
- Bruce Wayne Duvelow, 47, of Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and on a warrant last Sunday around 10 p.m after police responded to Lafayette Street.
- Kia Aisha Forde, 36, of Salem, was arrested on charges of shoplifting, possession of a class A drug, possession of a class C drug, and possession of a class E drug last Sunday around 8 p.m. after police responded to a report of shoplifting on Highland Avenue.
- Police responded to a report of youths on a New Liberty Street roof throwing rocks onto the street below last Sunday around 5 p.m., but didn't find any youths.
- Officers responded to a report of someone playing guitar with a loud amp on Essex Street on Sunday around 6 p.m.
- Steven W. Mccarran, 29, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of shoplifting on Tuesday around 11 a.m. after police responded to a report of a dispute on Traders Way.
- Catherine Turcotte, 44, of Salem, was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace on Monday around midnight after police were called to Friend Street.
- Christopher Edward Wallis, 24, of Salem, was arrested on charges of larceny over $250, shoplifting, and on a warrant on Tuesday around 3 p.m. after police were called to Traders Way.
- Orlando A. Paulino, 19, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of wanton destruction of property, failing to drive within marked lanes, failing to stop or yield, failing to signal, speeding, having no inspection sticker, number plate violation, negligent driving, failing to stop for police, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving an unregistered motor vehicle last Tuesday around 7 p.m. after a traffic stop in the area of Aborn Street.
