14 Year old Lucy arrived at the Northeast Animal Shelter after living alone. She was really bonded with and loved her person. She would sleep in bed with him and curl up on the couch nearby. When her person passed away she hid for a long time. When she first arrived at the shelter she was frightened and shy. As time passes she is becoming used to the daily schedule and beginning to trust staff and volunteers. She accepts treats and head pats and will walk up to and rub her face and body on legs. Lucy is the go slow type of gal, where she prefers to take things slowly while getting used to people. She is searching for a quieter type of home without a lot of commotion. Be prepared to share your bed and your heart with this beauty.
Lucy is available for the senior for senior program, (and for adoption by any age 18 and over.) She is up to date with vaccines and has been spayed. If you are interested in learning more about her, please contact the shelter at 978-745-9888 or come on in and meet her for yourself.
