Charter Street In Salem To Be Closed On Monday

SALEM, MA — Salem residents and visitors who typically travel down Charter Street will have to make alternative plans on Monday.

The city said Charter Street will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. until at least 3 p.m.

The closure is necessary so that a crane can be brought in to do work on the Salem Housing Authority building at 27 Charter Street.

Traffic going to and from 27 Charter Street will be permitted during the closure.
