Local green thumbs have four garden locations to choose from.

Salem, MA - Salem’s community gardens are a hidden gem in the city.
Actually, they are four hidden gems, and the community gardens are looking for new members.
Salem Community Gardens rents out raised beds and gardening plots to 400 Salem families. The four amazing gardens are paid for by annual plot fees and built and maintained using volunteer labor.

The four garden locations are Palmer Cove (which typically fills up first), Mack Park, Pickman Park, and Splaine Park. Plot fees at Mack and Palmer Cove fee is $30 per plot, while Splaine are Pickman are $15 each.
Each garden has its own personality - some plots are large, in-ground plots, other plots are smaller raised beds. More information about each garden, along with registration information can be foudn at www.salemcommunitygardens.org.
