Danvers To Hold Video Tribute To Veterans

Danvers' Veterans Services is looking for photos of veterans with ties to the town for a video compilation to be broadcast on Nov. 11.

DANVERS, MA — While traditional Veterans' Day ceremonies honoring those who fought for their country will be yet another thing curtailed or canceled this year due to the coronavirus, Danvers Veterans' Services is looking to make sure there is a worthy tribute despite the health crisis.

The hope is to show a photo of every veteran who has ties to the town during a ceremony broadcast on Danvers Cable Access Television on Nov. 11.

"The response and feedback to the virtual Memorial Day ceremony was so great that people have been asking to do it again in November," Danvers Veterans' Services said, "Therefore, we have decided to make this Veterans Day extra special by showcasing our own veterans as part of the remembrance celebration."
