Salem High School — with about 900 students — is ranked among the bottom 10 percent of high schools in Massachusetts, according to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Is it not ironic then that the school be run by a principal with no license?
If Salem is ever going to grow beyond being a tourist destination and grow a middle class of some sort that starts with better education in the Salem Schools. Families have never flocked to Salem for anything besides Halloween, well that and the short lived recreational Pot sales. People have never come to Salem for education, ( Salem State not withstanding) and "Let's move to Salem for the great schools" has been said by nobody ever.
Yes it will take time but if the Salem Educational reset button hasn't been hit already, it should be, again.
