12 Year old Sallie has had a rough life. She was found in an abandoned home with 3 puppies. The electricity and water had been shut off and no water or food had been left out for them. It was 112 F. in the home when the rescuers found them. They were brought to the local vet's and the puppies found forever homes. Sallie ended up in a shelter where she lived for a year before coming to the Northeast Animal Shelter located in Salem, MA.
Sallie does have mobility issues and has a special harness to help her get around. She does much better when she has another dog to walk with and she loves taking care of puppies. Sallie loves to cuddle with other dogs and with all people. She enjoys hugs, will rest her head in laps and loves to be read to.
If you are looking for a low key, super sweet snuggle bug, Sallie may be the one for you. She is up to date with vaccines, has been spayed and is available for the senior for senior discount. Visiting hours are Monday through Friday 10-8 and weekends 10-6. If you would like more information on how to adopt please visit the shelter website @www.neas.org
