SALEM, MA — Markos Taverna, a Mediterranean steakhouse, will open June 15 on Pickering Wharf in Salem in the space previously occupied by Finz Seafood and Grill. The Daily Item is reporting that George Markos, owner of Brother’s Deli in Lynn, signed a lease for the space in March. "I always wanted to open a Mediterranean place with steaks and seafood and a lot of people told me to go to Salem, but for years I really wasn’t interested," Markos told the newspaper.

Finz moved to the Pickering Wharf space previously occupied by Victoria Station and Doc's Boathouse in September. Finz opened in location soon to be operated by Markos in 2000. The new space gave Finz an additional 1,000 square feet of space.
