Headed to Boston for the Redsox Parade?

Things you should know before heading to Boston from Salem.

Before leaving Salem briefly from It's annual Superbowl aka Halloween, here are a few things to consider. In years past there is almost no parking along the parade route so taking the commuter rail (MBTA) is imperative. The Parade Starts at 11:00 am near Fenway Park on Landsdowne Street and goes all the way downtown to Union Oyster house. The Duck boats will be loaded and driving really slow. 1,000,000 + people may blow off work in the name of a good party so crowds should be expected. Boston is know for it's parties after all.

The great news is that the commuter rail runs every half hour from Salem to North Station in Boston. From there you can walk or T it to anywhere along the parade route. Once the Parade is over don't forget to get back to Salem for Halloween. For more info on the train schedule download this handy PDF version. https://cdn.mbta.com/sites/def...

Lastly, have fun but not too much fun. No climbing on anything, be smart and be safe. For those Salem residents that smoke pot and and or drink alcohol, both done outside is still a big bozo no no. If you are caught doing either expect to be ticketed and or detained. Be smart and leave the partying to inside the bars before, during and after the parade.
