Macro or Micro: Salem Man's Otherworldly Images in Smithsonian

A Salem man's work has been featured on Smithsonian.com.

The work art and science of Salem resident Paul Kelly and Swampscott resident Stephen Young were featured in an online article in Smithsonian.com.

The web article tests your sense of scale. Can you distinguish between photographs that are very big or very small?

Click here to see if if you can tell if an image is a satellite image (macro) or one from an electron microscope (micro).

You can see the exhibition featured in the Smithsonian at Salem State University's Winfisky Gallery and there are two special events also open to the public — below.
