Marlborough Road-Area Paving Project Begins Next Week In Salem
The four-week project is set to begin on June 24.
SALEM, MA — A project to repave Marlborough Road, Sutton Terrace and Buena Vista Ave. West will begin on June 24.
The project is expected to start in the 88 to 117 area of Marlborough Road and last approximately four weeks.
"Before the final paving is completed, your roadway will be an active construction site and you should be careful and drive at a reduced speed accordingly," the city notified residents of the area.

The project consists of grinding up the top layer of the current pavement before a smooth layer of new pavement is installed a couple of weeks later. Hydrant water will be used for the project — which may result in discolored water for area residents.
If this is the case, run the faucets cold until the water clears starting with the lowest faucets in the house.

Work will be done between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. On-street parking is prohibited during work hours. Parking will be allowed during non-work hours.
The area will be an active construction site during this time with police details, but residents will have access to their own driveways at all times.
